For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. But if anyone does not have them, he is nearsighted and blind, and has forgotten that he has been cleansed from his past sins.
PRE TRIP UPDATE :: Cadre Academy :: Romania Missions
Friends, Family and Fans!
As you know, our [ca]dre team will soon be flying away to Romania. This is [ca]dre academy's first trip to eastern Europe, so we are very excited. Each of the students have worked very hard to raise the funds to go on this trip and it is a strong culmination to a very full year. We have established a great contact over there that comes with high rapport from one of our experienced missionaries and elders here at New Life.
Our team will be doing ministry in the capitol city of Bucharest, but will also be traveling to visit villages and small towns. They will be visiting orphanages, carrying out work projects, performing street ministry and hopefully be in some schools for assemblies.
Our team is flying out of Memphis, TN directly to Amsterdam and then continues to Bucharest, Romania. All friends, family, fans, sponsors etc are welcome! They are scheduled to return the evening of April 11. Any changes to their flight itinerary and arrival will be communicated primarily via twitter and facebook.
The [ca] team is split up into 4 smaller 'missions teams'. I've attached that team list for you to see what team your student is on. For the most part, they will be doing ministry specifically with this smaller group of people anytime the team is not all-together as a whole. Each of these teams is lead by at least two 3rd year students and/or a staff member. Leading a missions team comes with high responsibility, so you can be assured the individuals entrusted over these teams are well esteemed amongst our students and have proven themselves in leadership and reliability.
It's hard to say what the availability of communication will be over there - since they do plan to travel outside the capitol city to more remote areas and will stay quite busy. So keep in mind you probably won't hear from your student much, if at all. However, I will be sending an update at the end of each leg with any information I receive on their trip. [You can expect to receive about 3 emails.] Remember, as rule we support a 'No News is Good News' policy.

[PARENTS] I've attached [ca]dre's flight itinerary, they will be traveling on KLM airlines for the entire trip. If you would like to ensure your student is getting airmiles for the travel, they need to be signed up for a Sky Team frequent flyer program [KLM is part of the Sky Team alliance [skyteam.com]. Then your student will need to give their frequent flyer number at the check-in counter at both departure + return. [Most commonly used Sky Team airline is Delta].
